Job summary

GHD is seeking a Construction Works Supervisor in Narrogin to lead road construction and maintenance projects for Main Roads WA. The role involves field leadership, coordinating contractors and crews, and delivering high-quality works with safety and efficiency throughout Wheatbelt projects.

You will oversee day-to-day activities, manage resources, and uphold WHS, quality and environmental standards while building strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring on-site productivity.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience supervising construction crews on civil/road projects.
• Ability to coordinate contractors and resources across active sites.
• Strong leadership and decisive decision-making in field environments.
• Knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements on high-risk construction sites.
• Experience interpreting drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day road construction and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate contractors, crews and resources to meet project requirements safely and efficiently.
• Provide clear direction and leadership to site personnel while maintaining collaboration.
• Monitor project progress, quality and productivity, escalating risks when needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards on site.
• Support traffic management and safe work practices on active sites.
• Review plans and technical documentation to support delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, project teams and stakeholders.
• Conduct site inspections and verify works meet required standards.
• Contribute to project planning and identify opportunities to improve delivery outcomes.
