Job summary

Indigo People is partnering with a growing Height Safety specialist in Sydney to appoint a Business Development Manager. You will own new business development and nurture relationships across commercial construction and related markets, collaborating with Directors and the team.

In this role you'll identify opportunities, engage prospects by phone and face-to-face, visit sites, and develop knowledge of Height Safety products. A proactive, team-oriented sales professional will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Proven B2B sales and new business development experience.
• Strong track record of building relationships and winning business.
• Experience within Height Safety, Construction, Roofing or related industry highly regarded.
• Confidence prospecting and developing opportunities over the phone.
• Ability to build trusted relationships face-to-face.
• Commercial hunger and a genuine desire to achieve.
• Proactive, self-driven approach to business development.
• Willingness to learn technical products and solutions.
• Collaborative attitude and desire to contribute to a team.
• Australian Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Identifying new projects and opportunities through Cordell and industry research
• Prospecting and engaging prospective clients by phone
• Developing new business across commercial construction and related markets
• Building long-term relationships with builders, contractors and key industry contacts
• Following up opportunities, proposals and active projects
• Working closely with the internal team to deliver the right solution for clients
• Understanding client requirements and confidently communicating technical solutions
• Visiting clients and sites/offices when required, generally a couple of times per week depending on activity
• Developing knowledge of Height Safety products, systems and industry requirements
• Contributing ideas and market intelligence as the business grows
• This is a true BDM role combining phone-based business development, relationship building and face-to-face client engagement
