Job summary

Latrobe City Council is seeking an Audit, Risk and Insurance Support Officer in Morwell. The role supports insurance claims administration, FOI processes and risk management through high-quality administrative services and stakeholder engagement.

Ideal candidates will have risk, insurance or administrative experience and a commitment to governance. The position is full-time, temporary (12 months) with hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating insurance claims and related compliance activities.
• Experience handling legislative processes or similar administrative tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports, agendas and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate administrative processes related to Council's insurance claims portfolio.
• Provide support for Freedom of Information and privacy requests.
• Prepare agendas, minutes and reports for audit and risk committees.
• Support risk reviews and follow up on agreed actions; liaise with insurers, brokers, legal representatives and internal stakeholders.
