Job summary

Hassell in Sydney is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer/Associate to shape the future of our interior design practice. You will lead projects, mentor designers, and work with studio leaders to grow our capability across Hassell's Australian network.

You will balance project delivery, people leadership and client engagement while guiding teams from concept to delivery and strengthening client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience managing client relationships and project delivery outcomes.
• Track record delivering high-quality workplace projects.
• Strong design, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Technical confidence and a solid understanding of project delivery processes.
• Revit capability and experience leading documentation teams.
• A collaborative leadership style and a genuine interest in helping others succeed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex interior design projects across workplace, education, health, hospitality and science sectors.
• Work closely with the Leadership team to support team leadership, capability building and studio culture.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project teams from concept through to delivery.
• Mentor and develop Interior Designers across different career stages.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Support business development activities and contribute to future project opportunities.
• Champion design quality, technical excellence and project performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Hassell's Australian studios.
