Richard Lloyd Recruitment in Sydney CBD NSW is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a growing financial services business. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will support month-end reporting and the preparation of monthly management accounts, including the P&L and Balance Sheet, as well as year-end audit prep.

Qualifications

• A few years of working experience at the Assistant Accountant level performing reconciliations and month-end support.
• Be degree qualified and part or fully qualified with CA / CPA studies
• A forward-thinking mindset with an eye for making process improvements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A team-focused mentality with excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Month-end reporting
• Prepare monthly management accounts including the P&L and Balance sheet
• Year-end audit preparation
• Bank, balance sheet and trust account reconciliations

• Back up to the AP, AR and trust functions
