Job summary

Sedgwick invites you to join our Financial Control team as an Assistant Accountant, offering hands-on exposure to month-end reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to a supportive Senior Accountant, this role provides an opportunity to expand technical expertise and contribute within a collaborative environment.

You will support P&L analysis, postings, and reporting, collaborating with shared services to ensure accurate month-end close and reliable financial data

Qualifications

• CPA/CA qualified or in progress.
• Experience as assistant accountant in a commercial setting.
• Exposure to financial control responsibilities, including month‑end close and intercompany accounting.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly P&L analysis and investigate variances.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close and reporting.
• Prepare financial reports and dashboards (P&L, KPI metrics) for decision making.
• Assist in external and internal audit activities.
• Support accounts payable, procurement, and vendor management across ANZ.
