Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking an experienced Application Security Architect in Melbourne CBD, offering a permanent hybrid role with an up to $240k package. The role combines security architecture with development/DevSecOps, working closely with engineering teams to embed security throughout the delivery lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has strong AS architecture experience, API security expertise, and threat modelling skills, with Agile delivery experience. Melbourne CBD, hybrid 2–3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Must have strong application security architecture experience.
• Background in application development, software engineering, or DevSecOps is preferred.
• Experience with API security and threat modelling is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct threat modelling and security risk assessments.
• Provide security architecture guidance across applications, APIs, web and mobile platforms.
• Embed security into solution design and software delivery processes.
• Support DevSecOps and secure engineering practices.
• Partner with architects, developers, and delivery teams to deliver secure outcomes.
