Job summary

[Not disclosed] in Western Sydney is seeking a 3rd Year Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician. The role covers maintenance, installation and repair across a range of commercial equipment, with opportunities to learn in the Building Services – Fire field.

Applicants should hold Certificate III Refrigerant and Air Conditioning, have a valid Australian driver’s licence, and be an Australian citizen/resident. A company vehicle is provided and long-term employment is offered.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration with proven maintenance and repair experience.
• Good work ethic and ability to work alone or with other Technicians.
• Attention to detail and reporting accuracy, familiarity with Uptick software.
• Proactive job organisation and ability to assess client needs.
• Excellent communication with customers, team members and maintenance managers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Maintain commercial air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Install commercial air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Generate service reports and upload photos and maintenance documents.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and contractors to source parts and plan work schedules.

We are a medium sized third generation family company based in Western Sydney. Our team is focused on delivering a quality service on time every time. We have been providing HVAC and/or related services in the Sydney area for over 30 years. Our commitment is to provide customers with a high standard of service.

The Role:

We currently have a position available for a 3rd Year Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician to join our team. This a diverse role which includes looking after a varying range of equipment and sites as well as providing the opportunity to learn or further develop skills in the Building Services – Fire field.

Primary Scope

• To provide maintenance services and repairs of commercial Air Conditioning and Refrigeration equipment.
• Sound communication with customers, staff and supervisors is essential.
• 3rd or 4th year apprentices may apply.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing and repairing commercial Air Conditioning and Refrigeration equipment
• Maintenance of commercial Air Conditioning and Refrigeration equipment
• Installation of commercial Air Conditioning and Refrigeration equipment
• Generating service reports, uploading photo’s and maintenance documents
• Liaising with customers, suppliers and contractors to source parts and plan work schedules

Job Requirements:

• Certificate III Refrigerant and Air Conditioning
• HVAC Contractors license preferred but not essential.
• Current Australian Driver’s License
• Australian Citizen/Resident

Experience and competency:

• Strong technical background in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration with proven experience in maintenance and repair.
• Good work ethic and the ability to work alone as well as with other Technicians.
• Attention to detail, accuracy in reporting and use of company software (Uptick)
• Proactive approach to work, organisation of jobs and assessing client needs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with other team members, customers, maintenance managers and others.
