Job summary

Recruit Shop Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a skilled Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician to service government and commercial sites across the city. This role offers an attractive hourly rate ($50-$55) with Super, RDOs, LeavePlus, a company vehicle, phone and fuel card.

Join a respected HVAC leader with room for a fourth-year apprentice and clear progression into the installation department. You'll work with a supportive team and play a key part in maintaining essential infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in air conditioning and refrigeration.
• Current D grade electrical permit.
• White or red OH&S card and working at heights.
• Valid police check and working with children check.
• Current refrigerant handling licence and Victorian driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Engaging professionally with clients and site supervisors.
• Servicing government and commercial sites across Melbourne.
• Performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting faults.
• Managing compliance documentation and site safety protocols.
• Maintaining and repairing mechanical HVAC systems including central plants, package units and split systems.

About The Opportunity

Due to a surge in council projects, we're seeking a talented and driven Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician to join this high-performing team. There's also room for a passionate 4th year apprentice ready to elevate their career.

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, your day-to-day will include:

• Engaging professionally with clients and site supervisors


• Servicing government and commercial sites across Melbourne


• Performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting faults


• Managing compliance documentation and site-specific safety protocols


• Maintaining and repairing Mechanical HVAC systems, including Central Plants, Package Units, and Split Systems

About You

We're looking for professionals who bring technical skill, a proactive mindset, and strong communication. You’ll need:

• Current D grade electrical permit


• Certificate III in air conditioning and refrigeration


• White or red oh&s card and working at heights certification


• Valid police check & working with children check (mandatory)


• A positive, self-motivated approach and strong customer focus


• Current refrigerant handling licence & victorian driver’s licence
