Job summary

RecruitShop in Melbourne is seeking an Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician to service government and commercial sites across the city. You'll join a skilled team and play a key role in maintaining essential infrastructure.

Ideal candidates will have Certificate III in air conditioning and refrigeration, a D grade electrical permit, OH&S and working at heights, and the refrigerant handling licence with a Victorian driver's licence.

Qualifications

• Current D grade electrical permit.
• Certificate III in air conditioning and refrigeration.
• White or red OH&S card and working at heights certification.
• Valid police check and working with children check (mandatory).
• Current refrigerant handling licence and Victorian driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Engaging professionally with clients and site supervisors
• Servicing government and commercial sites across Melbourne
• Performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting faults
• Managing compliance documentation and site-specific safety protocols
• Maintaining and repairing Mechanical HVAC systems, including Central Plants, Package Units, and Split Systems

About The Opportunity

Due to a surge in council projects, we're seeking a talented and driven Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician to join this high-performing team. There's also room for a passionate 4th year apprentice ready to elevate their career.

Reporting directly to the Service Manager, your day-to-day will include:

• Engaging professionally with clients and site supervisors
• Servicing government and commercial sites across Melbourne
• Performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting faults
• Managing compliance documentation and site-specific safety protocols
• Maintaining and repairing Mechanical HVAC systems, including Central Plants, Package Units, and Split Systems

About You

We're looking for professionals who bring technical skill, a proactive mindset, and strong communication. You’ll need:

• Current D grade electrical permit
• Certificate III in air conditioning and refrigeration
