Job summary

General Australia is seeking an HVAC Technical Support professional to join a multi-location team in Australia. The role combines customer support, technical advice and problem-solving across refrigeration and air conditioning products.

You will collaborate with service agents, dealers and internal teams while staying connected to field/workshop environments. Australian citizens or permanent residents preferred; visa sponsorship not provided.

Qualifications

• Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade qualifications.
• Current ARCtick licence.
• Supervisors or Contractors licence.
• Customer service experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Good computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and support to trade and retail customers.
• Assist with customer complaints and technical enquiries.
• Support service agents with repairs and service requirements.
• Assist with warranty claims, warranty parts and labour claims.
• Attend service calls and commissioning activities for training.
• Assist in the workshop where required.
• Provide limited product installation support.
• Assist with developing training materials and training service agents.
• Keep product and technical knowledge up to date.
• Prepare service reports and provide feedback on product issues.
• Assist with developing service procedures and processes.
• Support field service claims and spare parts orders.
• Identify and report persistent or unusual technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade qualifications
• Current ARCtick licence
• Supervisors or Contractors licence
• Customer service experience
• Relevant industry and field experience
• Strong technical and product knowledge
• Good computer skills
• A logical and practical approach to problem solving
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A genuine customer focus
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

A First Aid certificate, driver's licence and people management experience would also be desirable.
