This full-time, office-based role focuses on supervising technicians, coordinating maintenance, and delivering high-quality service for large-scale HVAC&R projects in Perth and the Southwest.

You will drive safety, efficiency and customer satisfaction, manage scheduling, parts, and costs, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as HVAC&R technician with supervisory or management role.
• Experience Operating Simpro.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC&R systems, installation, maintenance and repair.
• Trade qualifications in refrigeration and air conditioning or equivalent.
• Demonstrated leadership with technical teams.
• Strong customer service and professional client management.
• Proficiency in scheduling software and basic business administration.
• Sound health and safety knowledge relevant to HVAC&R.

Responsibilities

About the role

WTS Mechanical Projects are seeking an experienced HVAC&R Service Manager to join our team based in Gnangara, WA 6077.

With over 15 years operating in Western Australia WTS has a unique opportunity to join our growing service division providing on going service & maintenance for large scale HVAC&R projects in Perth and Southwest region.

In this strategic leadership position, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our service division in a full time office based role. You will be responsible for managing technicians, ensuring service quality and compliance with industry standards, whilst driving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This role is pivotal to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the HVAC&R sector and supporting our growing construction division and client base.

What you'll be doing

• Managing and supervising HVAC&R technicians, including recruitment, training, performance management and scheduling
• Planning and scheduling service calls, maintenance work, DLP and emergency repairs to optimise resource allocation and response times
• Ensuring all work meets industry standards, building codes and regulations
• Monitoring service quality, investigating customer complaints and implementing corrective actions
• Managing inventory of parts and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effective purchasing
• Preparing work schedules, quotations and job estimates for customers
• Liaising with customers to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction with services delivered
• Maintaining accurate records of service work, parts used and labour costs
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance service delivery
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining appropriate documentation

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as an HVAC&R technician with substantial time in a supervisory or management role within the air conditioning and refrigeration industry
• Experience Operating Simpro
• Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including installation, maintenance and repair
• Relevant trade qualifications in refrigeration and air conditioning, or equivalent recognised credentials
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to manage and motivate technical teams effectively
• Strong customer service skills and experience managing client relationships professionally
• Proficiency in scheduling software, job management systems and basic business administration
• Sound understanding of health and safety legislation, particularly as it applies to HVAC&R work
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Valid driver's licence
