Job summary

Croft Contracting Pty Ltd, a Melbourne-based HVAC and ventilation contractor established in 1978, is seeking an Engineering Technologist to support engineering design, project coordination and system performance objectives across commercial projects.

You will analyze designs, prepare BIM-based drawings, perform heat-load and airflow calculations and collaborate with estimators, engineers and site teams to deliver compliant, energy-efficient installations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Analyse HVAC and ventilation designs for commercial and industrial projects.
• Assist with engineering design, selection and specification of air conditioning, ventilation and mechanical services equipment.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, shop drawings and BIM-based documentation to support project delivery.
• Conduct engineering calculations including heat-load assessments, airflow analysis, equipment sizing and energy-efficiency evaluations.
• Support design-and-construct projects from tender stage through to commissioning and handover.
• Review project specifications, Australian Standards, NCC/BCA requirements and client requirements to ensure compliance.
