Job summary

Freestyle Air Conditioning in Newcastle, NSW, is seeking a motivated 1st Year Air Conditioning Apprentice to join the team. This full-time apprenticeship offers hands-on experience alongside experienced technicians and formal training to build a solid foundation in installation, maintenance and repair of air conditioning systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum Year 10 education or equivalent.
• Genuine interest in air conditioning and refrigeration.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Must be reliable with good punctuality and attitude.
• Must have a valid driver’s licence or ability to arrange transport to Newcastle.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with installation, maintenance and repair of AC/refrigeration systems.
• Learn to safely use hand and power tools under supervision.
• Prepare and maintain clean, organized work sites.
• Assist with testing and commissioning of units.
• Identify and document faults and issues.
