Job summary

Powertech Pty Ltd in Malaga, Western Australia, is seeking an experienced Transformer Technician to join our team on a Full-Time Permanent basis. You will perform power transformer oil filtration and circulation, installation and assembly of new transformers, site inspections, and provide on-site support while building strong client relationships across Australia and offshore sites.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualifications or license required; fitter/mechanic electrical license preferred but not mandatory.
• 5+ years' experience in power transformers.
• Experience with transformer oil filtration and circulation.
• Installation & assembly of power transformers with on-site support.
• Site inspections and consultancy for transformer maintenance or refurbishment.
• Knowledge of transformer components and tap changer systems.

Responsibilities

• Achieve the deliverables outlined in the transformer services plan.
• Perform work and provide technical support of HV power transformers.
• Ensure client requirements are met and expectations exceeded.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Powertech clients.
• Professionally execute all assigned projects from start to finish.
• Work in remote areas within the state, offshore and interstate as required.
