Job summary

Siemens Energy in Sydney seeks a seasoned Substation Project Manager to drive the technical delivery of substation and skid solutions from design through commissioning.

You will coordinate electrical, civil, and structural engineering teams, manage technical risks, budgets and schedules, and liaise with customers, utilities, subcontractors, and internal hubs to meet Australian standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in technical project management or engineering leadership in substation projects.
• Experience interfacing with TNSPs/DNSPs and Australian energy sector standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical delivery of substation skid projects from design to commissioning.
• Coordinate cross-functional electrical, civil, and structural teams to deliver integrated designs on schedule.
• Oversee risk assessments, QA, and commissioning activities for substation equipment and skid assemblies.
• Serve as primary technical interface with customers, utilities, subcontractors and internal hubs.
• Collaborate with procurement and logistics to ensure timely delivery of HV components.
