Job summary

St Francis Xavier College in Canberra seeks a Coordinator to provide expert leadership in curriculum, teaching and learning, supporting staff and students across junior and senior studies. The successful applicant will bring initiative, integrity and vision to drive high-quality education.

As part of the Curriculum Leadership team, you will collaborate with the Assistant Principal Curriculum and Innovation and Teaching and Learning and report to the Principal to realise the College's mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching.
• ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance.
• ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration.
• Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education policy.

Responsibilities

• The Coordinator provides staff and student support and advice in teaching and learning.
• Leads curriculum leadership in junior and senior studies, using best practice and current research.
• Reports to the Assistant Principal Curriculum and Innovation and Teaching and Learning and to the Principal.
• Works with the Curriculum Leadership team to realise the College's vision and mission.

Job description

Salary Range: $154,326 plus superannuation
Employment Status: Full-time
Eligibility: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

About the Role

The Coordinator plays a vital role in the College by providing staff and student support and advice in teaching and learning and creating an environment where teaching and learning are valued. The Coordinator provides expert leadership in curriculum, teaching and learning in junior and senior studies, utilising best practice in current research, evidence and innovation to meet the needs of all learners. As a member of the Curriculum Leadership team, the Coordinator reports to the Assistant Principal Curriculum and Innovation and Teaching and Learning and to the Principal in realising the vision and mission of the College. The successful applicant will be an experienced educator who has demonstrated successful experience in curriculum leadership and will possess initiative, integrity and vision.
