Job summary

GrainCorp is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join the Head Office in Barangaroo, Sydney, on a hybrid pattern (3 days in the office, 2 days at home). You’ll work closely with HR and business leaders to support the employee lifecycle, handle enquiries, policies and people initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement projects.

  • Formal HR qualification and 1–2 years’ experience in HR or People & Culture role.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships at all levels of the business.
  • Highly organised with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Assisting end-to-end HR administration (onboarding, changes, offboarding).
  • Preparing contracts, letters and HR documentation.
  • Maintaining HRIS data accuracy and system integrity.
  • Supporting employee relations matters and providing HR advice per policies.
  • Assisting with performance review, engagement and recognition initiatives.
  • Preparing reports and providing administrative support to the wider HR team.

Join GrainCorp’s Head Office team in Barangaroo as a Human Resources Coordinator and get hands‑on experience across the employee lifecycle, working alongside HR and business leaders to make a real impact. You’ll be a go‑to point of contact for employees and leaders, providing practical support across HR enquiries, policies, processes and people initiatives. From day‑to‑day HR support to continuous improvement projects, you’ll build your skills, broaden your experience and get exposure to the full breadth of HR. You will be responsible for:

About your experience

Our ideal candidate holds a formal HR qualification with 1 to 2 years' experience in an HR or People & Culture role. You will be a problem solver with the ability to navigate different types of conversations and act accordingly. Additionally, you’ll be:

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident handling confidential information with discretion
  • A strong communicator with relationship‑building skills across all levels of business
  • A proactive, continuous‑improvement mindset and willingness to roll up your sleeves
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and experience using HR systems (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Fair Work legislation and modern awards
