Job summary

Peoplecorp HR Recruitment Specialists is seeking a broad P&C Business Partner in Western Sydney. You will partner with operational leaders, providing practical HR advice across the lifecycle and supporting high-volume recruitment during peak periods.

You will manage ER matters end-to-end and coach managers through complex employee relations scenarios. Strong communication and a solutions-focused approach are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Solid generalist P&C experience with end-to-end ER capability (grievances, performance and disciplinary matters).
• Experience coaching managers and partnering with operational leaders.
• Experience across recruitment, awards and industrial relations is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Our client is a well-established and growing Australian business operating across multiple divisions, with approximately 500 employees nationally.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, this is a broad P&C Business Partnering role. You’ll partner closely with operational leaders and managers, providing practical P&C advice and coaching across the employee lifecycle. With a large operational workforce and fluctuating recruitment volumes, no two days will look the same.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing ER matters including grievances, performance and disciplinary processes end-to-end
• Coaching managers through employee relations matters and providing practical advice
• Supporting the interpretation and application of the relevant Industry Award
• Assist in managing high-volume recruitment during peak periods, including screening and candidate management
• Supporting workforce planning and recruitment strategy as volumes fluctuate
• Building strong relationships across the workforce
• Supporting annual development and performance processes
• Contributing to broader P&C projects across safety, L&D, systems and process improvement
• Supporting SAP automation and the improvement of P&C processes
• Working alongside the wider P&C team to ensure a consistent approach across the business

THE CRITERIA

We’re looking for a complete generalist business partner, who enjoys being close to the operation and getting involved in the detail. You’ll bring solid generalist P&C experience with strong end-to-end ER capability, including performance, grievance and disciplinary matters, as well as confidence coaching and partnering with managers. Experience across recruitment, awards and industrial relations will be highly regarded. Most importantly, you’ll be a strong communicator with a practical, commercial and solutions-focused approach, who can manage competing priorities, work autonomously and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. Industry experience isn’t essential, we’re open-minded about where you’ve come from, provided you’re comfortable working in a hands-on operational setting.
