Job summary

Ausipile is seeking a HSEQ Manager to lead safety across our piling projects in Queensland. The role blends hands-on field time with strategic development, drafting and implementing fit-for-purpose procedures, and guiding the safety culture.

You’ll inherit a 2027 HSEQ Strategy and work with the incumbent during a structured handover to drive continuous improvement. Ideal candidates bring formal WHS qualifications (Cert IV or Diploma preferred), a strong track record in HSE management systems,

Qualifications

• Formally qualified in WHS (Cert IV or Diploma preferred).
• Experience in development and improvement of HSE Management Systems.
• Driver licence and White Card required.

• Execute & refine the 2027 HSEQ Strategy during the first 12 months.
• Be visible on-site across projects, providing practical HSEQ support.
• Lead internal audits and ensure compliance with WHS standards.
• Head incident investigations and drive lessons into improvements.

Ausipile is a dynamic, family-owned construction services contractor delivering the strong foundations upon which southeast Queensland is built. We provide a wide range of piling services to low and high-rise building projects, as well as a full suite of bespoke engineering and dewatering solutions through our in-house design capability.

We operate a modern fleet of fully owned Bauer rigs, Klein pumps and Komatsu excavators, and are always committed to further equipment investment & upgrades.

Our operations span fromTweed Heads to the Sunshine Coast, with about 90% of our projects concentrated on the Gold Coast. Our office and yard are located in Alberton, QLD.

About the Role

We are seeking a HSEQ Manager to lead our evolution in becoming the safest piling company in Australia.Our technical performance is market-leading and our team is continuously improving our safety performance.

The role is an exciting mix of hands-on time in the field with our crews and then time to draft, develop and implement procedures which are fit-for-purpose.

Our departing manager has laid deep foundations for our long-term success and will remain with us until the end of 2026 to ensure a thorough, supportive handover. You won't be walking into a vacuum; we’ve already developed a comprehensive HSEQ Strategy for 2027 to serve as your roadmap for the first 12 months, giving you the unique opportunity to review and refine this action plan alongside the incumbent before fully taking the reins.

You Have These Essentials

• White Card (Construction Industry Induction)
• Open C class (or above) Australian Driver Licence
• Formal qualifications in WHS (minimum Cert IV, Diploma preferred)
• Experience in development and improvement of HSE Management Systems

What You'll Do

• Execute & Refine the Roadmap: Take ownership of the established 2027 HSEQ Strategy, bringing it to life during your first 12 months
• Be Visible in the Field: Spend time on-site across our projects, providing practical, hands-on HSEQ support to our crews
• Drive Safety Leadership: Coach and mentor frontline supervisors and managers to champion safety on the ground
• Systems Evolution: Develop, review, refine, and scale our HSEQ and document management systems to match our business growth
• Oversight & Auditing: Lead internal audits and ensure strict compliance with WHS and industry standards
• Investigations & Learning: Head incident investigations, focusing on root cause analysis and turning lessons into actionable improvements
• Training & Development: Oversee training matrices to ensure our workforce remains competent and compliant
• Project Execution: Review project‑specific risk registers, develop document packs and contribute to project handover meetings
