Job summary

MCS Civil is a privately owned Australian civil contractor delivering essential infrastructure projects across Australia. We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to support project teams across major civil and energy projects.

You will provide practical HSEQ leadership, conduct inspections, audits and risk assessments, and help maintain our high standards on site and in the office. This role combines field and coordination work across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as HSEQ Advisor or similar role.
• Experience in civil construction, infrastructure, energy or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and environmental requirements.
• Experience with risk management, site inspections, audits and incident investigations.
• Experience implementing HSEQ controls and ensuring compliance on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HSEQ support and guidance to project and site teams.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and compliance checks.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of HSEQ systems and processes.
• Assist with risk assessments, SWMS, JHAs and project documentation.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action processes.
• Monitor and report on HSEQ performance and improvement opportunities.
• Support project mobilisation and HSEQ planning.
• Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and HSEQ training as required.
• Work with project teams to identify and manage operational risks.
