Job summary

CMC, a privately owned civil contractor based in Queensland, seeks an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to lead HSE across projects and mentor teams. You will deliver coaching, safety culture improvements and expert guidance to project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to meet regulatory obligations.

You will be responsible for incident investigations, risk management, and development of HSE plans, while supporting environmental and occupational health initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety required.
• Experience leading HSE on major civil infrastructure/mining projects.
• Strong knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation and compliance obligations.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSE activities across assigned projects, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
• Provide coaching and leadership to project teams and subcontractors to drive safety culture.
• Identify and manage project risks through planning, audits, inspections and investigations.
• Develop and maintain HSE management systems, plans and training.
• Lead incident investigations and reporting to support safe delivery.
