Job summary

Freo Group Pty Ltd is seeking a confident, hands-on HSEQ Lead to join our team at the Hope Valley head office in Perth. You will collaborate with operational leaders and HSE Business Partners to implement priorities, strengthen standards and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality and environmental performance.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, Risk Management or a related discipline.
• Experience in mining, crane and lifting, construction, transport, maintenance or another high‑risk industry.
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, regulations and relevant standards.
• Experience supporting HSEQ systems, compliance, assurance or continuous improvement programs.
• Experience in risk management, auditing, incident investigation and corrective action processes.
• Exposure to injury management, workers’ compensation and return‑to‑work programs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build credibility across all levels of the business.
• High levels of integrity, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the implementation of Freo Group’s HSEQ strategy and key organisational priorities.
• Working closely with HSE Business Partners and operational leaders to drive consistent HSEQ standards across the business.
• Coordinating compliance, assurance, risk management and continuous improvement activities.
• Supporting injury management, workers’ compensation and return‑to‑work processes.
• Assisting with incident investigations, corrective action management and the sharing of lessons learnt.
• Supporting HSEQ training, competency and verification initiatives across the organisation.
• Coordinating external certifications, audits and ongoing compliance obligations.
• Driving practical improvements that strengthen safety culture, operational effectiveness and business performance.

We’re looking for a confident, hands‑on HSEQ Lead to join our team based at our Head Office in Hope Valley, Perth.

What You’ll Bring to the Team
