Job summary

Freo Group is seeking experienced Crane Operators and Riggers for FIFO work across Queensland, including shutdowns and major projects. You’ll join ad-hoc and shutdown teams delivering safe lifting operations with experienced crews.

Essential criteria include high-risk licences, HR or higher, and clearances; experience with Liebherr, Demag, Tadano All‑Terrain and Terex cranes, including 250T+ models. A VOC for crane and rigging operations is required.

Qualifications

• High Risk Work Licence required (CO and/or RA, RB and/or RI).
• Heavy Vehicle Driver’s Licence – HR or higher.
• White Card and National Police Clearance within 12 months.
• Experience operating Liebherr, Demag, Tadano All‑Terrain and Terex cranes.
• Experience with 250T All‑Terrain cranes and above.
• Proven crane experience in mining, construction or shutdown environments.
• Ability to complete VOC for crane operations.
• Ability to complete VOC for rigging operations.

About the Role:

Looking for consistent Ad-hoc work? with occasional shutdowns?

We're seeking experienced Crane Operators and Riggers with FIFO, mining or construction experience to join our adhoc and shutdown teams across Queensland.

You'll work with experienced crews delivering safe, efficient lifting operations on major shutdowns and projects. If you're safety-focused, dependable and enjoy working as part of a strong team, you'll fit right in.

Essential Criteria – Crane Operators

Relevant High Risk Work Licence – CO

Heavy Vehicle Driver’s Licence – HR or higher

White Card + National Police Clearance (within 12 months)

Demonstrated experience operating Liebherr, Demag, Tadano All‑Terrain and Terex Pick and Carry cranes

Demonstrated experience operating 250T All‑Terrain cranes and above

Proven experience operating a range of crane types in mining, construction and/or shutdown environments

Ability to successfully complete a Verification of Competency (VOC) for crane and Franna operations

Relevant High Risk Work Licence – RA, RB and/or RI

Heavy Vehicle Driver’s Licence – HR or higher

Demonstrated experience working in mining, construction and/or shutdown environments

Strong understanding of rigging, lifting operations and safe work practices
