Job summary

Cylex Local Search is seeking an experienced safety professional to join a growing commercial construction business in Sydney. You’ll mentor under a Safety Manager and help deliver practical safety improvements on site.

You’ll split time 40/60 between site and office, partner with site teams, contractors and project managers, and drive WHS/HSEQ systems, documentation and toolbox talks to keep projects safe and compliant.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HSEQ experience in commercial building & construction.
• Cert IV in WHS and White Card required.
• Strong ability to review and modernise WHS/HSEQ systems and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Work a 40/60 split between site and office, mostly on site.
• Review, improve and modernise WHS/HSEQ systems and documentation.
• Deliver practical safety advice, training and toolbox talks.
• Identify gaps and help fix them.
• Support tenders and live commercial projects.
• Provide safety guidance to stakeholders.
