The HSE Manager at Yorkshire Bridge is a hands-on leadership role with a seat on the executive team. Reporting to the GM – Pacific, you will lead health, safety and wellbeing across the ANZ business from the floor, not from behind a desk.
You will champion the Wellbeing & Belonging agenda, lead six Life Saving Rules, strengthen risk controls, and drive real change through incident investigations. This role suits an established HSE leader ready to step up and influence at all levels.
With revenues in the billions and operations in 40 countries, this global leader services a broad range of FMCG, food, beverage, and industrial customers and is recognised for its strong manufacturing capability, customer-centric innovation, and commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability. The company operates in an asset-intensive, safety-critical manufacturing environment, where health, safety, and wellbeing are core values and the goal is simple: everyone goes home safe every day.
The HSE Manager is a hands-on leadership role with a seat on the executive team. Reporting to the GM – Pacific, you will lead health, safety, and wellbeing across the ANZ business — and you will do it from the floor, not from behind a desk. You will be visible and present with operators, team leaders, and managers, leading the business's six Life Saving Rules, strengthening critical risk controls, and leading incident investigations that drive real change. You will also champion the Wellbeing & Belonging agenda, building an inclusive, supportive, and no-blame culture, and present safety performance to the executive team and senior group executives. This is not a policy-writing role. Success will be measured by what changes on the floor.
The successful candidate will be a credible, practical HSE leader with a proven track record of lifting safety, wellbeing, and culture in manufacturing or operational environments — ideally packaging, food & beverage, FMCG, or industrial operations. You will bring genuine industrial safety knowledge, from isolation and lockout/tagout to machine guarding, risk assessments, and investigations, and you will coach rather than tell: doing it together first, then coaching and observing. You will have the maturity to hold your own at the executive table and to sell the safety story to the floor. This opportunity will suit an established HSE or WHS Manager, or a strong Senior HSE Advisor or Site HSE Lead who has been well mentored and is ready to step up.
