Job summary

CSIRO seeks a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor for the Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness (ACDP) facility in Geelong. Qualifications

• Proven ability to collaborate with HSE staff and stakeholders to foster a positive safety culture.
• Experience in designing, delivering and implementing communication strategies (written and verbal) to deliver consistent messaging.
• Ability to interpret legislation and regulatory standards to identify issues and respond appropriately.
• Experience in coaching and knowledge transfer within HSE teams and across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of CSIRO’s HSE Plan across CSIRO sites.
• Drive continual HSE improvement through project involvement and challenge to status quo.
• Build relationships with site work groups and provide HSE recommendations to management.
• Develop and review policies, procedures, and systems with limited guidance.
• Provide hands-on HSE practical support to operational staff.
• Educate staff through knowledge sharing across teams.
