Job summary

Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in Geelong, VIC, is seeking an Asset Maintenance Project Lead within the CBIS team at the Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness (ACDP). This role focuses on planning, renewal and major maintenance of high-risk assets to support critical biosecurity research infrastructure.

You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, coordinate procurement, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure compliance with safety and governance standards

Qualifications

• Qualifications in asset management, facilities management, engineering or project management.
• Qualifications in work health and safety, risk management or quality management.
• Relevant professional certification or a Master of Business Administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead asset replacement, renewal and maintenance projects, ensuring delivery is safe, compliant and fit-for-purpose.
• Plan and prioritise asset renewal and maintenance activities to support operational sustainability and lifecycle performance.
• Develop project scopes, procurement documentation and delivery strategies to achieve high-quality outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, governance controls and HSE standards across projects and assets.
• Manage project risks, budgets, schedules and stakeholder engagement to deliver successful project outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and service providers while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Participate in the Duty On-call Engineer (DOE) rostering with relative experience.
