Job summary

TradeConnex is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join a major renewable energy project in Victoria. This site-based role supports the delivery of a large-scale solar and BESS project, with a strong focus on contractor management, site compliance and maintaining high health, safety and environmental standards throughout construction.

Key responsibilities include day-to-day HSE support on site, conducting inspections and audits, managing contractors, reviewing SWMS and JHAs, issuing site

Qualifications

• Previous experience as HSE/WHS Advisor within renewable energy, construction or infrastructure.
• Experience on large-scale projects and managing contractors.
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and construction safety requirements.
• Capable of conducting site inspections, audits and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HSE support across site.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and compliance checks.
• Manage and monitor contractors and subcontractors.
• Review SWMS, JHAs, risk assessments and other HSE documentation.
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Monitor compliance with HSE requirements and relevant legislation.
• Identify hazards and support corrective actions.
• Assist with incident reporting and investigations.
• Support environmental requirements where required.
• Maintain HSE records, registers and reporting.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across site.
• Work closely with construction and site management to manage risk.

• Relevant HSE/WHS qualifications
• Ability to work in a site-based environment
