Job summary

Austal, based in Henderson, is seeking an HSE Advisor to provide health, safety and environmental support to the LCH project team, ensuring HSE requirements are implemented, monitored and continuously improved across project activities.

Working closely with leaders, operational teams and external stakeholders, you'll help foster a culture of safety excellence while supporting compliance, reporting, investigations and management system requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Cert IV in Work Health & Safety plus related certifications and clearances.
• White Card (Construction Induction).
• Demonstrated experience in an HSE Advisory role within construction, manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate, timely outcomes.
• Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance.
• Internal Auditor qualification or experience.
• ICAM Investigation training or experience.
• First Aid and/or Emergency Response qualifications.
• Experience supporting large-scale construction, defence or industrial projects.
• Experience mentoring or providing guidance within HSE teams.

• Support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 assurance and continuous improvement activities.

Job description

Based in Henderson, the HSE Advisor will be responsible for providing health, safety and environmental support to the LCH (Landing Craft Heavy) Project Team, ensuring HSE requirements are effectively implemented, monitored and continuously improved across project activities. Working closely with leaders, operational teams and external stakeholders, you'll help drive a culture of safety excellence while supporting compliance, reporting, investigations and management system requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HSE professional who enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships, influencing positive safety behaviours and contributing to the successful delivery of a complex maritime project
