Qualifications

The Company

This established construction contractor specialises in the delivery of large-scale industrial, logistics, and warehouse developments across Australia. With a strong track record of delivering major projects and further opportunities currently being pursued across Queensland, the business is continuing to expand its local project team.

Due to the continued ramp-up of a major industrial development in City of Logan, they are now looking to appoint a HSE Advisor to join the project team.

The Role

In this role you will join the HSE team on a major $500m construction project, for a multi-storey warehouse facility. This massive facility will form one of the largest warehouse developments in Queensland, with the site workforce expected to grow from approximately 200 to 500–600 personnel as construction progresses.

The project is scheduled to continue through to April 2028, followed by an extensive fit-out phase through to December 2028. With the business also pursuing further major Queensland projects, there may be opportunities to continue with the company beyond the completion of this development.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to simply police safety from the sidelines. You'll need to engage with the workforce, build relationships, and get genuine buy-in from the people carrying out the work and will suit someone with strong boots-on-the-ground experience.

Requirements

• Previous HSE experience within a high-risk environment
• Background within industrial construction, civil construction, mining, oil & gas, coal, energy, wind, solar, or similar heavy industry
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management, and site compliance
