Job summary

Nillumbik Shire Council in Greensborough VIC is seeking a Manager Human Resources (Internal Applicants Only) to provide strategic leadership and expert people and culture advice.

You will drive workforce initiatives, develop organisational capability, and ensure contemporary HR practices across the Council to support community services.

This permanent full-time role offers flexible working arrangements and an opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team of HR professionals.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Human Resources or equivalent with post graduate management qualifications.
• Extensive experience and knowledge of contemporary practice in human resources management, organisational development and change management.
• Proven ability to build and lead an empowered multidisciplinary team to deliver quality services.

Responsibilities

• Lead key strategic HR projects identified within the HR business plan.
• Provide strategic organisational-wide change effectiveness and management.
• Provide advice and consultancy in industrial and employee relations, organisational development, human resources and health and wellbeing.
• Manage the activities of support staff to maximise delivery on key projects.
• Oversee development and implementation of plans, strategies and policies for HR services to meet Council and community needs.
• Build frameworks to ensure legal and compliance obligations in industrial relations, equal opportunity and occupational health and safety.
• Partner strategically with senior leaders to find solutions to complex problems and measure outcomes.
