Mount Barker District Council seeks an experienced generalist HR practitioner to join the leadership team and shape people and culture across a diverse organisation.

Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services and working with the CEO, you will implement an HR framework, lead workforce planning, performance management, employee relations and HR systems, and drive change management, culture programs, and a strong WHS environment.

Qualifications

• Local government experience is not a requirement.
• Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsabilités

• Developing and implementing an HR framework to ensure that workforce planning, performance management, employee relations and HR systems and policies are contemporary and effective.
• Developing strategies and programs that ensure a positive work, health and safety culture and practice for the benefit of employees and Council.
• Championing organisational culture programs and training and development within a business excellence framework.
• Providing high level HR advice and support to the leadership team.
• Developing and implementing a change management framework and organisational development program.
• Managing the Customer Service Team and overseeing the Volunteer Program for Council.
• Managing, mentoring, developing, motivating and leading the People & Culture Team.
