Job summary

AnglicareSA is seeking a People Partner to work with portfolio leaders, providing practical HR guidance and coaching to strengthen workplace culture. You will manage employee relations matters, apply HR policy and awards, and support workforce planning and change initiatives.

This hybrid role offers diverse exposure across not-for-profit services, with opportunities to influence engagement and retention while upholding AnglicareSA's values and mission.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, HR, Psychology or equivalent.
• Experience as HR practitioner in a partnering role with stakeholder engagement.
• Experience with case management across ER, grievances, investigations, performance and fitness for work.
• Working knowledge of employment law, HR policy, Awards and EA/Contracts.
• Strong written communication, analytical thinking and time management.

What you’ll do

As a People Partner, you will work closely with portfolio leaders to provide practical, contemporary HR advice that supports operational success and strengthens workplace culture. You will coach and guide leaders across a broad range of people matters, helping them build capability, improve employee experience and respond to workforce needs.

A key focus of this role will be case management. You will support leaders and employees through employee relations matters, grievances, performance concerns, misconduct, workplace investigations, fitness for work matters and complaints. You will bring sound judgement, strong documentation skills and the confidence to apply HR policy, employment legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements in a practical and values-aligned way.

You will also contribute to workforce planning, organisational change, learning and development initiatives, employee engagement, retention strategies and continuous improvement across your portfolio.

You’ll be trusted to make a valuable impact by:

• Managing and supporting employee relations case work, including grievances, misconduct, underperformance, fitness for work and workplace investigations.
• Partnering with portfolio leaders to support strategic priorities and deliver a safe, inclusive employee experience.
• Coaching and guiding leaders on people practices, leadership responsibilities, workforce planning and employee engagement.
• Interpreting and applying HR policy, employment legislation, Enterprise Agreements and Awards to provide practical advice.
• Supporting change projects, including restructures, realignments, shift and rostering changes and reporting changes.
• Using workforce data and feedback to support retention, improve employee experience and reduce early or regrettable turnover.

What you’ll bring

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Human Resources, Psychology or equivalent relevant experience.
• Previous experience as an HR practitioner in a business partnering role, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated case management experience across complex people matters, including ER, grievances, investigations, performance and/or fitness for work.
• Working knowledge of employment law, HR policy, Awards and Enterprise Agreements, with the ability to apply them practically.
• Strong written communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving and time management skills.

We Would Also Love You To Have

• Project or change management certification, or experience supporting organisational change.
• Experience using workforce data, turnover insights or engagement survey results to inform practical people strategies.
• Knowledge of contemporary learning and development practices.
• Confidence working in a high-pressure environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• A collaborative, values-led approach and commitment to service excellence, inclusion and continuous improvement.
