Job summary

Randstad is seeking an experienced Business Analyst (HR/Payroll) for a four-month contract in Melbourne. You will gather business requirements, facilitate workshops, and perform gap analysis on an HRIS/HR/payroll transformation project.

You will partner with operational leaders and payroll specialists to build clarity and deliver an evidence-based roadmap with future options, supported by clear documentation and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience gathering business requirements for HRIS/payroll projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Education sector experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured diagnostic of current processes, systems, and governance.
• Perform gap analysis and provide actionable options.
• Reconstruct artefacts into validated documentation including SIPOC diagrams and data maps.
• Develop practical options for process redesign and system configuration.
• Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys with staff and leadership.
• Prepare executive options papers and reports.
