Job summary

Sylvanvale in Sydney is seeking a proactive HR Business Partner to join our collaborative team. You will partner with leaders across the organisation to deliver practical HR solutions that support business outcomes and a positive employee experience.

This generalist role covers workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, development, engagement and offboarding, with a focus on industrial relations, legislation, and compliance to help Sylvanvale grow.

Qualifications

• A degree in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an HR Business Partner role or would consider a graduate with work experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of current employment legislation, award interpretation, and industrial relations practices (SCHADs and Children’s Services Award desirable).
• Exceptional relationship-building, influencing, negotiation and conflict management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on all aspects of industrial relations, including award interpretation, dispute resolution, and legislative compliance.
• Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support Sylvanvale’s goals and values.
• Act as a trusted advisor on HR best practices, employee engagement, performance management, and organizational development.
• Support and resolve complex HR matters with a focus on positive outcomes and relationship building.
• Participate in HR projects that build capability, strengthen collaboration and support organisational success.
