Job summary

TAFE Queensland on the Gold Coast is seeking a Human Resources Officer to join the Ashmore campus team. This permanent, full-time AO3 position supports HR operations across the region, handling administrative tasks and client-focused service delivery.

You will respond to staff and manager enquiries, manage the HR mailbox, maintain records, and assist with employee lifecycle processes while upholding HR policies, compliance and a safe, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of HR policies, employment awards and certified agreements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to use HRIS and MS Office to support HR service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Respond to enquiries from staff and managers regarding HR administration and processes.
• Effectively manage the HR mailbox, triage, assign, escalate and respond to enquiries within agreed timeframes.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant awards, certified agreements, policies, procedures and forms applicable to the role.
• Provide high-quality administrative support including data entry, records management, and confidential HR correspondence.
