Job summary

DJ Freight is seeking an HR Local Driver to join our Loganholme team, with a preference for a candidate based on the Gold Coast. This full-time role delivers boats, cars and caravans within the local area, with occasional North Queensland runs.

You will operate a heavy rigid vehicle, load and unload freight safely, and maintain accurate delivery records while providing excellent customer service. We offer a competitive salary and real opportunities for career development in a growing logistics

Qualifications

• HR driver's licence (heavy rigid) required.
• Minimum 1 year as a commercial driver in freight/logistics.
• Strong customer service and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Forklift licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate a heavy rigid vehicle to deliver freight locally.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate with clients.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with other duties to support operations.
• Use digital work management tools (POD, Tracking, EWD).

DJ Freight is seeking a HR Local Driver to join our team in Loganholme, however an individual based out of the Gold Coast would be preferable. As a full-time HR Local Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of Boats, Cars and Caravans across the local area with an occasional fill in run to North QLD. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing logistics company dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

Operate a heavy rigid vehicle to deliver freight to customers in the local area

Load and unload vehicles in a safe and efficient manner

Maintain accurate records of deliveries and other documentation

Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients

Adhere to all relevant safety policies and procedures

Assist with various other duties as required to support the operations team

Digital work management (POD, Tracking, EWD)

What we're looking for

A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence

Minimum 1 years' experience as a commercial driver in the freight or logistics industry

Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team

Excellent time management and organisational abilities

Knowledge of safe manual handling practices

Commitment to working safely and adhering to all relevant regulations

A valid forklift license would be advantage.
