Job summary

Team Global Express in Townsville is seeking an experienced HR Driver for a permanent full-time local PUD role. You will complete local pickups and deliveries, work Monday to Friday, with early start times between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM, and you’ll interact with customers in a busy transport operation.

This hands-on role requires safe load restraint, pre-start vehicle checks, and teamwork with the depot and operations team to keep freight moving.

Qualifications

• Current and valid HR Driver Licence.
• Previous Pick-Up & Delivery (PUD) experience is highly regarded.
• Experience in transport, freight or logistics.
• Comfortable with hands-on, physically demanding work.
• Good knowledge of the Townsville area and surrounding suburbs.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate an HR vehicle to complete local PUD runs throughout Townsville.
• Complete scheduled customer deliveries and pick-ups within required timeframes.
• Undertake hands-on freight handling and unloading as required.
• Safely restrain loads using straps, chains and other approved equipment.
• Complete daily vehicle pre-start checks and report defects.
• Maintain your vehicle and work areas in a clean and presentable condition.
• Follow all WHS, Chain of Responsibility and company safety requirements.
• Report hazards, incidents and near misses in accordance with company procedures.
• Provide professional and friendly service to customers.
• Work collaboratively with the depot and operations team to keep freight moving.

Team Global Express is seeking experienced HR Drivers to join our Townsville team on a permanent full-time basis.

This is a hands‑on local Pick-Up & Delivery (PUD) role, ideal for drivers who enjoy being active, working with customers and being part of a busy transport operation.

You'll work Monday to Friday, with start times generally between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM. Overtime may be available depending on operational requirements.

About the Role

As an HR Driver, you'll be responsible for completing local pick-ups and deliveries throughout the Townsville area, ensuring freight reaches our customers safely and on time.

This is a physically active role involving hands‑on freight work, so you'll need to be comfortable getting in and out of the truck regularly and assisting with the movement and handling of freight.
