Job summary

Followmont Transport Pty Ltd in Queensland is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Driver to support our fresh produce operation. You will collect fruit from local farms, transport it to the depot, consolidate freight and assist with loading and unloading throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Valid HR/HC/MC licence required.
• LF forklift licence holder required.
• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Ability to load/unload freight independently.
• Strong load restraint and safety awareness.
• Reliable team player with produce or freight experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect fresh fruit and produce from local farms.
• Transport produce to depot safely.
• Load and unload using forklift and pallet jack.
• Consolidate produce for onward transport.
• Assist with unloading linehaul and local vehicles in the depot.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and required paperwork.
• Maintain safety and product quality focus.

Job description

At Followmont Transport, we're looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Driver to support our produce operation. This role is much more than driving. You'll be involved in collecting fresh fruit from local farms, transporting it back to our depot, consolidating freight, and assisting with loading and unloading activities throughout the day.

What you'll be doing

• Collecting fresh fruit and produce from local farms
• Transporting produce safely back to the depot
• Loading and unloading your vehicle using a forklift and pallet jack
• Consolidating produce for onward transport
• Assisting with unloading linehaul and local vehicles in the depot
• Completing daily vehicle checks and required paperwork
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety and product quality

What you'll bring

• Current HR, HC or MC Licence
• Current LF Forklift Licence
• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks
• Confidence loading and unloading freight independently
• Strong awareness of load restraint and safety practices
• Reliable work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
• Produce, agricultural or freight experience highly regarded
