Job summary

JD Refrigerated Transport is seeking expressions of interest for experienced HR and HC drivers based at Archerfield, QLD. Roles start January 2027 for multi-drop distribution of chilled meat products, including hanging carcasses and boxed meat, across South East Queensland.

This hands-on position requires unloading duties and strict adherence to cold chain and food safety standards, with a pay rate commensurate with the role and work type.

Qualifications

• HR or HC licence appropriate to the position.
• Experience in refrigerated transport and multi-drop deliveries.
• Experience handling hanging carcasses, boxed meat and meat rail systems highly regarded.
• Physically capable of regular manual handling and unloading duties.
• Sound understanding of cold chain management, food safety and safe loading/unloading practices.
• Strong customer service skills and a safety-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chilled meat products to customers across South East Queensland.
• Handle and unload products at delivery points, including hanging meat and meat rail systems where applicable.
• Perform multi-drop deliveries in a hands-on, physically demanding role.
• Maintain cold chain integrity and safe loading/unloading practices.
• Provide reliable customer service and safety-minded performance.

Experienced Refrigerated Transport Drivers Wanted!

About the Roles

We are seeking experienced HR (4-5am starts) and HC Drivers (2am start) for new refrigerated multi-drop distribution opportunities based at Archerfield, commencing January 2027.

These roles involve delivering chilled meat products, including hanging carcasses and boxed meat, to butchers, independent supermarkets, wholesalers and food service customers throughout South East Queensland.

This is hands‑on, physically demanding multi‑drop work, not simply dock‑to‑dock transport. Drivers will be required to safely handle and unload products at customer delivery points, including working with hanging meat and associated handling equipment.

Note: Higher pay rate commensurate with role and type of work required.

What We're Looking For

Current HR or HC driver's licence appropriate to the position.

Experience in refrigerated transport and multi-drop deliveries.

Experience handling hanging carcasses, boxed meat and meat rail systems highly regarded.

Physically capable of undertaking regular manual handling and unloading duties.

Sound understanding of cold chain management, food safety and safe loading/unloading practices.

Strong customer service skills and a reliable, safety‑focused attitude.
