Job summary

Sims Limited in Gosford, NSW, seeks a safety-focused HR Driver to join our team. You will collect, transport and deliver scrap metal bins across our customer network, operating HR vehicles in line with road laws and company procedures.

You will conduct pre-start inspections, maintain vehicles, and build strong customer relationships while ensuring accurate transport documentation and a commitment to safety, environment, and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Current HR Licence (essential).
• Experience operating skip, hook-lift and/or flat-bed trucks (preferred).
• Forklift Licence (desirable).
• Previous experience in transport, logistics, waste, recycling or a similar industry.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety. See also ability to pass pre-employment medical.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect, transport and deliver scrap metal bins to customers across the region.
• Operate HR vehicles in accordance with road laws, site requirements and company procedures.
• Follow daily schedules and run sheets to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and maintain vehicles in a safe and roadworthy condition.
• Load, secure and transport bins and materials safely.
• Build strong customer relationships through professional and reliable service.
• Complete transport documentation accurately and on time.
• Report incidents, hazards and customer concerns promptly.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety, environmental and operational standards.
