Scrap Metal Salvage is seeking an experienced HC Driver for a full-time position in St Marys, NSW 2760. You will safely operate heavy vehicles, transport scrap metal, maintain logs, and support on-site safety initiatives.

Ideal candidates will hold a valid HC licence, a clear driving record, and be able to work independently across multiple deliveries while communicating effectively with dispatch and customers.

Qualifications

• Valid Heavy Commercial (HC) Driver's Licence for Australia.
• Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one.
• Proven HC driver experience in transport/logistics/salvage sectors.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and load management.
• Excellent driving record with no major traffic violations.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple deliveries.
• Good communication and professional attitude with customers and team.

Responsabilités

• Operate heavy commercial vehicles safely and in compliance with road and workplace regulations.
• Transport scrap metal to designated locations with secure loads and proper weight distribution.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report defects.
• Maintain accurate journey logs and delivery records.
• Comply with traffic laws, load management requirements and safety protocols.
• Communicate delivery schedules and delays with dispatch and customers.
• Keep vehicle clean and well-maintained; contribute to safety culture on site.
