Job summary

Synergie Group is recruiting reliable HR, HC and MC Drivers for deliveries and pickups in Mackay and Coalfields. You will load, transport and deliver freight, following routes and schedules while maintaining safety and compliance with fatigue management rules.

You will operate local vehicles, perform pre-start checks, and communicate with the depot to handle delays or changes. A current HR licence and a safe driving history are required, with forklift licence being a plus.

Qualifications

• Hold a current Australian HR licence and a safe driving record.
• Be physically fit and able to lift and handle freight.
• Previous delivery driving or transport experience is highly regarded.
• Demonstrate good route planning and time management skills.
• Have a positive attitude toward safety in every role.

Synergie is seeking reliable HR, HC & MC Drivers for deliveries and pickups across the Mackay & Coalfields region.

• Day shifts (Monday to Friday) with weekly pay
• Opportunity to work independently delivering freight throughout the Mackay & Coalfields region

What you will be required to do:

As a Delivery Driver, you will safely load, transport and deliver freight across Mackay and surrounding areas, ensuring scheduled timeframes are met.

• Complete local deliveries and pick-ups of freight across Mackay and surrounding areas, ensuring scheduled timeframes are met.
• Safely operate vehicle in accordance with road rules, traffic conditions and company procedures
• Follow allocated delivery routes and schedules, adjusting where necessary to meet operational requirements
• Conduct daily vehicle pre-start checks and report any defects, damage or maintenance issues
• Ensure freight is securely restrained using appropriate straps, chains and load-restraint equipment where required
• Monitor vehicle condition throughout the shift and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including proof of delivery and relevant consignment records
• Communicate with the depot regarding delivery progress, delays, route changes and any issues encountered on the road
• Ensure freight is delivered to the correct locations and collected in accordance with customer and operational requirements
• Drive safely and maintain a high standard of road safety when operating in local traffic and on regional roads
• Comply with fatigue management requirements, work and rest guidelines, and applicable heavy vehicle regulations
• Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle and ensure it is parked and secured appropriately when not in use
• Follow company procedures, including hazard identification and near-miss and incident reporting processes

To be successful in the role you will:

• Hold a current Australian HR licence (or higher) and have a safe driving record
• Be physically fit and capable of safely lifting, carrying and completing deliveries and pick-ups throughout the shift – Must pass a pre-employment medical
• Have previous delivery driving or transport experience (highly regarded)
• Demonstrate good route planning, time management and attention to detail
• Hold a current forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
• Have full working rights in Australia and reliable transport to get to work
• Demonstrate a positive attitude towards safety and its importance in every role
