Job summary

Oryx People Automotive, a rapidly expanding automotive importer in Sydney, seeks an experienced HR Business Partner/People and Culture Specialist to drive performance management, engagement and culture, while ensuring compliant HR practices across the business.

You will partner with leaders to strengthen performance processes, advise on employee relations, and support workforce planning in a fast-paced, values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' HR experience, including at least 2 years in performance management and employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations frameworks.
• Proven experience partnering with managers to resolve complex people matters.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical capability with experience using HR metrics to inform decision-making.
• Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee matters.
• Ability to balance employee advocacy with commercial and organisational judgement.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve the organisation's performance management framework.
• Coordinate performance review processes and set meaningful KPIs.
• Partner with managers to provide guidance on feedback and performance conversations.
• Analyze performance data to identify trends, skills gaps and succession opportunities.
• Independently manage workplace investigations, grievances and disciplinary matters.
• Support development of employee engagement, culture initiatives and recognition programs.
• Contribute to policy development, compliant HR procedures and workforce planning.
