Job summary

Catholic Healthcare is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to provide trusted advice and practical people solutions to leaders across the corporate and Residential Care portfolios in a hybrid, full-time role.

You will build strong stakeholder relationships, support complex employee relations matters, contribute to HR projects and help leaders create high-performing, values-aligned workplaces across Sydney and regional NSW.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Significant HR Business Partnering experience in a large 24/7 operational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, regulations and contemporary HR practice.
  • Confidence managing complex employee relations, performance, grievance and workplace matters.
  • Advanced consultation, coaching, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with leaders at all levels.
  • Sound Microsoft Office skills and confidence working with people data and reporting.
  • Resilience, adaptability, self-awareness and a genuine alignment with Catholic Healthcare’s Mission and values.
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel intrastate as required

Responsibilities

  • Provide trusted advice, coaching and practical people solutions to leaders across corporate and Residential Care portfolios.

  • Contribute to HR projects and help leaders create positive, high-performing and values-aligned workplaces.
  • Lead or contribute to HR projects, process improvements and organisation-wide initiatives.
  • Champion culture, retention, talent development and succession planning initiatives.
  • Analyse people metrics, identify trends and partner with leaders on targeted action plans.
  • Support people planning across client groups and participate in leadership meetings.
  • Ensure effective management of grievances, disputes, misconduct, absenteeism and exits.

We’re looking for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to provide trusted advice, coaching and practical people solutions to leaders across the corporate and Residential Care portfolios.

You’ll build strong stakeholder relationships, support complex employee relations matters, contribute to HR projects and help leaders create positive, high-performing and values-aligned workplaces.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Partner with leaders and managers to provide expert HR advice, coaching and support across a broad range of people matters
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, workplace culture, policy interpretation and change
  • Support the effective management and resolution of grievances, disputes, misconduct, absenteeism and exits
  • Conduct investigations and provide clear, practical recommendations
  • Analyse people metrics, identify trends and partner with leaders on targeted action plans
  • Contribute to operational leadership meetings and support people planning across your client groups
  • Lead or contribute to HR projects, process improvements and organisation-wide initiatives
  • Champion culture, retention, talent development and succession planning initiatives

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field
  • Significant experience in a HR Business Partnering role, ideally within a large 24/7 operational environment
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, regulations and contemporary HR practice
  • Confidence managing complex employee relations, performance, grievance and workplace matters
