Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services in Sydney is seeking an HR Generalist/Advisor to provide and implement HR advice and strategies from our corporate office in Pyrmont. You will partner with managers to support effective people management and drive best-practice HR outcomes across Veolia’s business units.

This busy role offers autonomy within a strong national team, with a focus on workforce planning, HR systems rollout, and industrial relations support.

Qualifications

• Degree in HR or related discipline (required).
• Previous experience as an HR Advisor/HR Business Partner (generalist).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular contact with leaders/managers to determine needs and support proactive people management.
• Rollout HR systems, policies and procedures that support business objectives.
• Contribute to Workforce Planning.
• Lead initiatives that foster employee participation and commitment.
• Monitor HR regulatory requirements and industry trends; assess and communicate impacts.
• Provide advice and coordination for industrial relations issues, performance management and discipline discussions.

The Opportunity

In this newly created position, you will be able to make your mark by providing and implementing HR advice support and strategies that ensure best practice HR Management. Based in our Corporate Office in Pyrmont, you will partner with a range of managers and supervisors to support them in effective people management by anticipating and responding to business needs. Working across a range of Veolia’s business units, you will build managers’ knowledge base and capability and make sure they achieve good HR outcomes.

What you'll be responsible for

What you'll need to be successful

Degree qualified in HR or related business discipline

Previous experience as an HR Advisor/HR Business Partner (generalist)

Drivers License and own vehicle
