Job summary

Jump Trading Group is seeking an HPC Operations Engineer to join our Sydney and Mumbai offices, providing hands-on Linux HPC support and maintenance for compute, storage, and interconnects. You will work with research communities to diagnose issues, automate tasks, and participate in global infrastructure projects.

The role requires 2+ years in Linux, strong scripting ability, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of professional Linux experience.
Experience with HPC environments is a plus.
Ability to learn new languages quickly.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Provide front-line operational support for 24/7 Linux HPC compute, storage, and interconnects.
Solve problem reports and questions from Jump's research community; manage lifecycle of issues.
Respond to alerts promptly and participate in large maintenance operations.
Write code to diagnose, resolve, and automate frequently performed tasks.
Collaborate across teams to build testing infrastructures across codebases in multiple languages.
Manage relationships with vendors; travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Implement and monitor performance and fault monitoring systems.
Adhere to cybersecurity policies and use approved hardware/software.
Participate in an on-call rotation and work from offices as required.
