Job summary

South Burnett CTC Inc is hiring a Housing Support Worker to join the Housing & Homelessness Support program. You will provide flexible case management, advocacy, and practical help to people facing housing challenges in the South Burnett region.

The role offers either a 30-hour permanent part-time arrangement or a 36-hour full-time schedule, with salary packaging benefits and a commitment to child-safe standards and cultural inclusion. Applications close 11 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in community work, human services, or related fields.
• Experience in housing, case management, or outreach support.
• Knowledge of Queensland housing pathways, tenancy sustainment practices, social housing systems and residential tenancy process and law is highly desirable.
• Strong advocacy skills to support participants effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management, advocacy, and practical assistance to help people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness secure and maintain housing.
• Support participants navigating housing challenges with flexible, integrated assistance under supervision.
• Engage with stakeholders to promote housing stability and safety for participants.
