The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) in Victoria is seeking Housing Services Officers to assist clients seeking housing assistance or residing in public housing.

Based in offices across the state, you will assess client needs, provide housing options, and help sustain tenancies with guidance under general supervision. This role supports vulnerable individuals and families through a client‑centred approach and collaboration with local communities.

THE ROLE

Housing Services Officers play a vital role in supporting the delivery of client-centered services to individuals and families who seek housing assistance or reside in public housing.

Housing Services Officers are part of a network of community workers and organisations that share the responsibility for working with vulnerable people to promote and support their wellbeing. Based in offices across the state, the role undertakes a range of tasks relating to tenancy and property management and the provision of housing advice and assistance.

Housing Services Officers are fully competent across the assigned housing functions and apply well-developed skills in all areas. They may be required to be a local reference point in processes and procedures for less experienced staff and to will work in an environment under general supervision.
